Idk, that seems like a successful perception check to me. But then a failed investigation check
I honestly went back and forth on this for a while before settling on perception, deciding that it seemed less about discovering something and more like failing to notice something important.
But I think it could probably work either way.
I mean, I see the joke, but it definitely seems more like a "high wis, low int" situation. You're paying attention to what's going on, but you don't make deductions about it.
