I haven't bought the game yet, but I've been told this guy's setting list on ProtonDB is supposed to help a lot.

Also apparently changing graphics options on the game leads often leads to bad performance issues for that session. After changing settings, if it seems like the game is running worse, you will likely need to restart the game to see how well it will actually run with the new settings.

In case it interest anyone. There is a mod for the classic version of the game called northerui that gives it controller support.

I have like 10-20 hours into it already and it’s worked great.

2 side notes, the game HAS to be installed in game mode and opened once before switching to desktop mode to install the mods.

Also there is another mod you need to install that helps with loading. I forget what it’s called, but it’s a really popular mod and has something to do with timestamps of files.

Oh cool, performance fixes.

Does it stop the frequency of crashes though?
