I’ve been looking around but apart from this article I could only find stuff citing the same three quotes by Pike, Stradowski, and Judkins.

Does anyone know anything more?

Don't quote me on anything but from what I read the complicated situation of the WoT licences is slowing everything down. There seem to be at least three companies involved (Amazon, Sony, IWoT), likely even more.

And from what it looks like they aren't on a green path yet.

I certainly hope that they can fix their issues and continue producing soon.

But maybe prolonged negotiations are a good sign in that some companies see the series getting more profitable and thus want a bigger piece of the pie (looking at iwot in particular).

Such a shame. Just when it got good. Well, I guess either some other studio picks it up or we get an anime or I’ll have something to look forward to in retirement when some studio does a reboot.
