they give me steampunk vibes, so I'm thinking corset, oversized ruffled Victorian skirt (maybe in browns, burgundy, or aubergine) ... basically dressed like Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd.

The shoes are too "out there", it encourages crazy, theatrical outfits 😄

EDIT: and I would never spend $300 for these shoes, and even if they were free I'm not sure I would ever wear them (but I would probably find a single occasion to go all out and honor the shoes with a full outfit, then they spend the rest of their lives in a closet).

You really only have two options:

1. Full pirate

2. Spandex onesie

Whatever you choose to wear with these, you need a cane.

They’re super neat for reality too but I do feel like you would need to build around them as opposed to making them work with strays from the closet. At least my closet.

They don't fit my style or color palette, but I would ooh and ah over them if someone else wore them.

Oh those are COOL! They're very busy, so you could wear similar tones and highlight with various clusters of busyness.

Like dark grey leggings with a belt and a brown or dark gold belted pocket accessory, then a technical short of top or jacket. Maybe lean into a retro style with shoulder pads and a headband/simplier crown and tighter greased/wet hair and dangly earrings.

Hell yeah, I'd rock those, if I could wear heeled footwear. I would have preferred a rounder toe and black or a funky color, though. For $300, no. I am willing to drop that money for a quality pair of shoes that I love. (I just like them.) I would take them for free in a heartbeat.

If I were trying to make this coordinated, I'd wear a knee length skirt or shorts, probably olive green. Then either an off-white or black shirt. Or just an olive green dress with a pattern, and a belt.

I wouldn't wear them in this colour because I don't do brown shades. I'd wear them if they were black but I'd never spend that much on boots!

Style wise I'm gonna go simple. Bootcut jeans, navy Boho shirt similar to this.

Am a fairly straight presenting dude, probably would not wear unless doing a costume or some such...

But if I was a chick, or had an occasion to dress as one, or suggest a dress to one...

... Well basically, the problem is that these seem to be ... extremely ornate, western themed ... sandals, as they don't actually fully cover the foot, but are instead multiple wide strips.

But if these were just similarly styled, low rise, heeled, true boots, I feel you could work these into anything from basically a sort of business formal dress atire, to a stablehand/bounty huntress sort of look.

So with these boots, which have sort of a velvetish crimson and light brown / tan color pattern... maybe switch the pants to a moderate gray, boot cut, with either socks or leggings under them, a dsrker gary...

... go for a full, tucked shirt with that barely-salmon-almost-just-white color, maybe a not too busy, fairly muted paisley or plaid or pinstripe pattern , throw a navy to deep navg colored vest over that (either the vest or the shirt is patterned, never both)...

...pretty much keep the overcoat, change the gloves to match the color pattern of the boots (maybe that crimson velvet on the palms and inside of the fingers, tan leather on the back side of the hand... but the tan of the leather part of the gloves matches the color of the shoulder pad/pattern of the overcoat, not the main lighter color.

And i guess also go with a similarly crimson hair color, or maybe a natural hair color with crimson tips or highlights or something.

Are these actually sandals? They're neat shapes, but if I wanted victorian librarian boots, I'd rather they be... y'know. Boots.

That said, don't wear white socks with them unless you're highlighting the sandal straps for some reason.

I wouldn't because I find the design naive (sorry love but come on, they look designed by comittee. Are you sure this is the best version of what you're trying to say about yourself?) but I do think if you wanna showcase them, it's gotta be skinny jeans sor leggings (no jeans over the top of the ankles, what's the point in that case?) and then a cardigan or jumper or long sleeve on top. But the other things must be plain and let the boots speak.

I'm all for a bit of dopamine dressing but don't drown them in other loud pieces
