The vet advised brushing Melbcat’s teeth (when a different one previously said not to bother?). Fair enough. The only treats she can have are bad for her teeth and I am generous with them. I’ll see how far I can get without causing distress.

The cat toothbrushes are expensive, the microhead ones are sold off a site I don’t trust, and the pet toothpastes contain sorbitol which will upset her stomach. So I bought a toothbrush for babies and am gently lifting the side of her lip during a patting session to see if she’ll allow a few quick little dry scrubs.
Edit: I found the micro head brush on eBay… expensive but could be worth the easier use… but since it would be a small package either I have to pick it up from a pharmacy or risk it getting stolen
