I gotta keep forcing myself to remember that it's April 1st. I'd be careful though. Not everyone can understand satire.

In my experience, Sarcasm and Satire appear to have cultural hooks that prevent them from translating well online.

Honestly I always forget. I've never really participated so headlines like this just seems like bad takes to me lol

There are good April's fools jokes and there is this. Some things you just don't joke about.

[-] [email protected] 16 points 3 months ago

Exactly! We don't need the tyrants thinking this

I hate April's fools

This better be an April Fools joke

I don't understand how people can stand living without being able to see in their neighbours' homes. What if they're dissing you or worse, don't even care you exist?

Gasp

This travesty of justice cannot stand! I shall not be dark, but beautiful and terrible as the Morning and the Night! Fair as the Sea and the Sun and the Snow upon the Mountain! Dreadful as the Storm and the Lightning! Stronger than the foundations of the earth. All shall love me and despair!

All well and good, but realistically any backdoor can be exploited by unfriendly as well as friendly actors.

Also does this mean government agency communication would also be unencrypted or just Joe schmoe?

[-] [email protected] 4 points 3 months ago

Just us Schmoes. Governments get all the encryption and no backdoors.
