This job posting for a "vibe coding expert" has been going around social media cause of the whole vibe coding meme. But I actually read the posting, and it seems to be a startup to automate debt collection calls with AI?

The posting is looking for candidates in SF, with at least 3 years experience, who are willing to work 12 hour days. So it sounds like they're looking for 20 somethings basically. It also says that a new employees first job is to make a collection call. So I guess they have their 25 yo software engineers make debt collection calls? Does the AI even work or is this startup only 25 yo tech bros acting as debt collectors?

It’s been wild to watch software developers go from being treated like labor aristocracy with high income and cushy laid back company cultures to this kind of draconian nonsense over the last 20 years

Always has been. You probably won't be surprised to learn this happens all the time. In the 60s managers would complain of sandals and beards. Stupid hippy programmers!
