Wife: Don't you dare use any air fresheners in the car. Inhaling the those fragrances is very harmful to us. Keep the windows down, you won't get any smells (sh.itjust.works)

Our car constantly smells, and I'm ashamed to give a ride to anybody. All the usual air fresheners are non-starters because they would kill you or something. You are allowed to use essential oils, but she doesn't like the smell of most of them, and the one she approved of (rose essential) smells like decayed organic matter in a hot car.
