The moral of the story is that boobs can stop wars

[–] [email protected] 84 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Or start them. Source: Iliad.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Also the Sabine War and The War of the Sicilian Vespers. Maybe the Harem Conspiracy too although that was mostly women fighting each other.

The harem conspiracy of women mostly fighting each other? Sounds like how Hugh Hefner REALLY died..

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I’m pretty sure Hugh Hefner was more of, “A Weekend At Bernie’s”, situation at the end. They just propped him up like a scarecrow at events.

The rack that launched a thousand thirst traps

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

I doubt it. As long as there are not boobs for everyone, someone, most probable male, will start a fight. I hope and wish this is a prejudice, but am still searching for evidence that it is one.

This doesn't add up....

She's taking the picture in landscape mode but the post clearly shows it as portrait!

[–] [email protected] 86 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Insta autocroppes everything to their completely dumb 1:1 format.

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago

Oh come on, don't ruin my criticism!

(Good to know, though. 🙂)

As a (computer) engineer I say: "ah, close enough"

Now laugh

Maybe she cropped it?

[–] [email protected] 22 points 1 year ago (1 children)

also, why do 2 soldiers have greeen camo in the desert?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

We currently have soldiers being sent into the field by what we thought was a major super power. Those soldiers have GoFundMe to buy body armor, and bullets. War is expensive buddy.

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

IIRC American soldiers got body armor from their families during the second war with Iraq. Even major super powers see their soldiers as a number.

Weird, I just typed this word for word on another meme in this instance.

Where are these 11/10 meme bangers coming from!?

[–] [email protected] 40 points 1 year ago (2 children)

The "Be the change that you want to see in the world" blue poster makes it extra funny.

...I never noticed that there was an emoji for yerba mate. It's now my favourite thing ever. 🧉

🎶Imagine there's no heaven🎶

Speaking of the headline, politicians when encouraged to attempt peace through negotiation rather than insisting on decisive victory being the only way

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago (14 children)

can't tell if this is some genuine post, or pro-russia shilling for peace negotiationing between Ukraine and Russia

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago (14 children)

Can't you shill for peace and be pro Ukraine?

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (8 children)

No, because you cannot make a peace contract with a liar and thief, he will break it as soon as it fits him

He has zero regard for civilised relations between countries. Suing for peace he sees as weakness, violence as strength. A person who thinks this way can never be convinced to leave others alone. The only way is a defeat so thorough they are unable to retaliate in decades even if they try their hardest. Or death. Preferably death.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I didn't say they should ask nicely for a peace treaty.

You can, but those aren't criticising the West and Ukraine, but rather russia.

If Russia stops fighting, the war ends. If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine ends. And Russia is more likely to try again in another neighbor. Like they have multiple times already.

Letting Russia consolidate its territorial gains, build bases and continue the war in a few years is a terrible idea. They are more than welcome to turn their tanks around and leave Ukraine.

Very pbf, I love it

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

How do I find this artist, I need more of these!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

Bottom right?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I love the posters. Is one of them even misspelled?

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I think the green one is misspelled. It reads:

"No llores porque termino, sonrie porque sudecio"

That almost makes sense. It should be "sucedio".

It translates to "don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened"

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago

Also "porque" has a tilde where it should not. In the context of the poster it means "because", not to be confused with "why" that is spelled "por qué".
