Any and all politicians are open to scrutiny imo. They are PUBLIC servants and as such they should get called on their collective bull shit.

The democratic party has failed us in a massive way. That's just facts. The republican party is a circus with an orange ring leader. None are doing their jobs in a way that truly helps the people, when they enter politis they start thinking of themselves and how lobbying can make them rich. There are only a few exceptions, Bernie, AOC etc...

I wish the Democrats were not being complicit with the Nazis and had half as much of the obstruction the right uses when not in power

US Republicans are not democratic to begin with, they're a christi fascist group that should have no right to exist as it inllinly makes the world better for a tiny tiny group of people over the backs of everyone else.

Having said that, the US Democrats are a godawful bunch of spineless dweebs that deserve everything that is coming for them. They lost the US elections because they still don't understand what they should be, what their voter base wants or what that country needs.

As in criticizing Democrats on their merits or criticizing Democrats as equally bad as Republicans? Big difference between the two.

Let me try! Democrats who don't support ranked choice voting are selling us out.

For real. Democrats criticizing their own politicians is as old as the modern Democrats. That's part of the problem, everyone marches in lock step on the right and the left argues about every action their politicians take.

Have you never heard of "RINOS"? Republicans attack Republicans they don't agree with just as hard if not harder.

The problem is, the Republican party actually rallies around what their constituents support because they know they need their base, while Democratic party expect their constituents to rally around what their leadership supports because they take their base for granted.

Democrats are not "our politicians"

Democrats are able to hold those who commit crimes in their party accountable, thst alone is enough difference to disqualify Republicans entirely.

I think this is a fair POV. No one is perfect. Thinking that you cannot criticise something you are part of, you like, or are somehow related to, is just childish.

All you guys suck, democrats enabled the rise of fascism by being impotent cowards trying to get the scraps left behind by the republicunts.

Everyone should still vote for them becuase they are better than the only other option in your dogshit political system.

Vote as far left as possible all the way up, if it ends up as trump v clinton then it should be the lefter of the two.

If they think their only recourse in all of this is to vote differently next time, they’re more fucked than we think. It’s not about D v R. It’s haves and have-nots. Always was. The sports teams are to distract and divide.

Voting gets so much attention not because it's super effective, but because it's super easy. It's the absolute most efficient change/effort available to us.

Everyone should vote, just as a first step. Even if you don't like DvR there are third parties, write-ins, plus there is municipal and local voting, and issues you can vote on directly on the ballot.

And then after you're done voting, get involved in your local community.

If you're a defeatist/"enlightened centrist", you are a part of the system of oppression.

I like that one "republicunts", that goes in to the swearing arsenal.

There are a low of flaws in the American 'democratic' system, but one of the biggest is that it devolved in an effectively two party system.

The bigger issue is people thinking that voting is the only way to influence anything. Reality is that it is the absolute bare minimum you can and should do. People need to be getting involved in their local communities, their unions, the campaigns for local politicians... you cannot change the whole country and you need to stop trying. Change your immediate area, and let those changes become the new base voters are starting from when making decisions.

Vote as far left as possible all the way up, if it ends up as trump v clinton then it should be the lefter of the two.

And Democrats will always take advantage of that. They supported genocide last election. How much further to the right are they going to go? Because they will never move one Planck length to the left.
