Who would have suspected Shopify of all places of being two-faced hypocritical bastards?
I guess they don't feel the need to launder their reputation anymore. They obviously never cared in the first place.
Is that why they shut down the Yeezy shop?
No, they said that they don't believe that Kanye would be able to fulfill the orders on the shirts.
True, and they also removed any restrictions on hate-filled content, according to a report I heard recently.
As an American I apologize that right wing crazy has become our number one export.
Itβs easy to not shop at any sites that use shopify.
The world is quickly turning vile thanks to Trump and musk.
It's really easy to not shop at any of the major big box stores owned by USA megacorps, physical or digital.
The trouble is, everyone around me is either on-board with the administration or a left-wing coward. I can't believe people actually think a single day of non-spending is going to do anything, and part of me thinks it's the corps pushing that idea as well.
I spent time finding the small asian and latino markets around me, and that's the only places I buy anything in the USA. I've been doing this for 5 years, trying to get others to follow.
No, it will never happen and I finally see that now. Even my closest friends don't get it, they willfully give Sam Altman and Google money every month. This place is rekt and I'm losing my mind.
I feel like I either need to find a Canadian or Mexican friend to defect to, or just go ahead and pull my own trigger.
If you pull it, make sure it's pointed at a fascist.
I'm seriously revisiting my plans to move out of the US. I shelved them back when I still had hope. I want to get another certification first to improve my employability.

You might be surprised... basically every small business that doesn't ship through Amazon uses Shopify, so it's not like there's a lot of options unless you just stop buying online entirely.
Ok, so stop buying online entirely then.
If you continue to say, "well, it's hard" then it'll never get easier or better and will remain at status quo.
I'll live with some discomfort if it helps deliver some pain. Change doesn't happen if no one forces change.
