Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram,

Not just a Jeep thing. at least not for long.

Holy cow. They've done the impossible - they've found a way to make a Dodge into a shittier vehicle. I am awestruck.

I wonder if disconnecting the car’s cell antenna would prevent this crap from loading.

Does this car have Android Auto/Carplay? Hopefully while that is active you can’t see the ad either.

Could be like some of those TVs that have baked-in ads. So if you don't have a data connection, they'll just play the default ones.

Edit: I imagine that the car to prevent you from unplugging the antenna would probably do the classic, "I haven't had a data connection in X amount of time, therefore I cannot verify the security of the device, so we're going to prevent the use of autoplay."

They generally go into limp mode if they cannot report on you.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 day ago

I mean it's a Jeep. You don't buy that if you don't want a limp car, anyways. :P

No fucking way. Not even if the car was free.

A friend of mine bought a Jeep last year and it looked cool so we were thinking if this would be something for us as a next car.

But sadly I'm allergic to advertisement, so I guess a Jeep is out of question until they rethink it.

There are plenty of better vehicles that aren't outrageously expensive just because they can be.

Note to self: Don't buy a Jeep.

The car screen is a nice flat surface to attach the suction cup of your phone mount.

This webpage is broken. It doesn't have content until you allow thrid-party scripts.
