I just watched the new We're In Hell today and my eyes totally didn't roll back into my skull when he mentioned tankies and authoritarianism. Tankies are after all a very real phenomenon that definitely exists, and the term obviously describes something that is both specific and also bad. I still can't believe this is all happening, this just isn't what america is about... we're a nation of immigrants, even the pilgrims were undocumented, fleeing opression, seeking a better life... and the natives took them in.
