Well that's pretty bs. Why should customers be punished for what thieves are doing? I don't know what the solution is but it's not making customers, who don't want to leave home to get food, leave their home to get their food.

Ok, no problem, you do you. [Mark order as undelivered and get a refund]

If the driver is going to add requirements to the delivery, they should communicate with the customer before picking up the food. So the customer can decline their service. Surprising somebody at the last minute hey I'm here you need to now do something for me isn't going to fly for most people.

All discussed in the article. Food delivery is different in Brazil than it is where I’m from.

Doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of delivery? I get that it might be inconvenient for the person making the delivery to go up to a specific apartment number but thats the job dude. The customer pays for the convenience of delivery.

The complaint in the article is that theft is rampant, so if they leave their bike unattended things will get stolen from it, maybe even the bike itself.

Ah i can understand that. Thats what i get for not reading. Thank you for clarifying.

Yea i wouldn't wanna leave my bike (especially an e bike) just out for someone to grab. I can understand where theyre coming from but i still stand by my original comment. It sucks though. Cities should have more places for bikes to be locked up.
