It is a bit sad, but most of all I find this reality they describe to be very alien. Though most of the bourgeoisie bullshittery exists in the exact same form it did 200 years ago, there's a lot of talk by Engels and his contemporaries about workers and unions actually striking and caring about improving conditions, and I just don't see that anywhere in the West anymore.
Many people I meet out and about just don't care about improving the lives of workers, or the mass inequality. And unions and striking is a very rare thing indeed, for the worse.
