Citing that the Chinese government has an approval rating of 90+% among Chinese people often gets countered by the argument "Why don't you ask the Uyghurs/Tibetans/Hong Kongers what they think of the Chinese government"

Are there any statistics on approval among these people and how do you handle such an argument?

more importantly, point out how unpopular separatism actually is in Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong

point out especially that Hong Kong never demanded complete independence from China and only wants greater autonomy within China and see how quick they drop that argument

Tibetans aren’t allowed to voice any support for their liberation so how would you know? If anything it just proves they don’t want China in their country...

Tibet isn't a country and China already liberated them from a monastic order responsible for cutting the tongues and eyeballs out of children, who they kept as slaves

Tibet was before China invaded them. Mutilation wasn’t a common practice when China invaded. Tibet was in the process of modernization. Why don’t we look at China during the same time?

Furthermore, with your logic it’s justified for the US to invade and annex North Korea.

I would also love to see an academic source for this slavery claim.

Edit: I also love that you can’t even answer my basic question from my previous comment!

Tibet was literally a feudal society with slaves. Imagine simping for slavers in the name of western propaganda.

Where’s your sources?

You’re making the claim... you have to back it up (which you can’t). If you say unicorns exist, you need to provide evidence for it. I can’t provide evidence of unicorns not existing.

But what would you like specific sources for?
