out of all the articles decrying the biden administration's duplicity coming out recently this one hits different because of how it omits gaza; it focuses on everything besides that and it makes me wonder if centrist-right media is now going to also start towing the democratic leadership narrative of "working class issues" to distract from the real culprit for their loss: genocide complicity.

The Democrats position on Israel is abhorrent, but I think it had very little to do with their electoral losses. When you talk about how during your 4-years in the presidency, that everything is the best it's ever been yet material conditions do not reflect that, I don't see how you can expect to defend the status quo against anyone.

Add in the debacle of having a public primary, then changing the candidate afterwards, shows voters that you aren't even pretending to follow "the rules" for a democratic process, even if you are totally in the clear legally.

It's bad optics, and it tells voters that you don't really care and can't be trusted.

the yougov poll says that this is exactly why the democrats lost.

and, yes, not following the democratic process didn't help.

Despite my issues with Biden, I wouldn't trust anything printed in the Wall Street Journal since it's owned by Rupert Murdoch.
