my silent generation aunts and uncles from northern arizona who entered my family through marriage were probably the last of the arizonans to speak this kind of spanish and i never realized it until i recognized the accent and the words in this video. i grew up using some of those words that the children in this video did due to my aunts'/uncles' influence in my life when i was very young and i remember getting playfully bullied by my mexican cousins for using some of those words; queque & cuques in my case because i was a fat kid w a sweet tooth. lol

i had completely forgotten about all of this until the accent dredged these memories up from some forgotten part of my childhood; i'm so glad you shared it and thanks for the surprise trip down memory lane.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
