Should have been done a long time ago. Some of us have been advocating for fedi participation from higher learning institutions everywhere in the EU. We now have a golden opportunity to abandon for profit social media that will enshitify without fail and embrace the fediverse.

It just makes a lot of sense for organizations over a certain size. They could even maintain a fork and never worry about having to change platforms.
X is for right wing people. All left wing people should leave now. It will eventually be a right wing echo-chamber.
Now that's how you go against this social media! Not by bans, but by big organizations leaving it, as well as by advertisers cutting ties.
They should start their own Mastadon server instead of relying on yet another foreign corporation.
