Hello fellow Cyanide and Happiness fans!

About this community and how I post the comics… Many moons ago, I would ask my Dad to save the newspaper for me everyday so I could read my favorite comic strips. Of course these days you can read your favorite comics online instead of a newspaper, but I love the nostalgia of reading the daily comics. Anyway, one of my favorite current comics is Cyanide and Happiness and I will be posting the daily release from their website (https://explosm.net/) and a an extra or two randoms.

Cyanide & Happiness (C&H) is a webcomic created by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick and Matt Melvin. The comic has been running since 2005 and is published on the website explosm.net along with animated shorts in the same style. Matt Melvin left C&H in 2014, and several other people have contributed to the comic and to the animated shorts… Read more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyanide_%26_Happiness

Hope you enjoy and feel free to contribute to the community with art, media, cool stuff about the authors, tattoos, toys and anything else, as long it’s Cyanide and Happiness related!

YouTube comments are a cesspool so I'm okay with that.

Game sites who disable comments, eh it depends.

Funny that euphemism treadmill is a euphemism treadmill itself.

I mean that's language in a nutshell. Imagine trying to speak English in the 1200s.

Are you sure this isn't from 2008?

In 2008 they'd just use retard. It wasn't even slightly controversial of a word at that point, just like disabled isn't really now (since that differently abled nonsense euphemism failed to take off).

Can’t use retard, because then the pun won’t work. Retard.

I think I remember seeing Hannah Montana in a commercial before then saying not to use the word, but it was still pretty common place in 07, just on it's way out.

Disabled or retard? Wanda Sykes had some commercials about not using retard. Probably around that time. But I'm not looking that up.

Retard. I thought it was Hannah Montana anyway. One of those where someone says it and she says you shouldn't say it. I tried looking it up, but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm probably misremembering either the person or the commercial entirely, so probably also the timeframe.

Hillary Duff said we can't call things gay. That's pretty gay IMHO

That's right. I had the wrong topic.

I laughed at the comic, but I'm pretty sure likening 'very dumb/bad' to 'disability' is pretty controversial, even if the word disabled isn't, necessarily controversial on its own.
