Sorry for your loss, friend.

Loss is a terrible thing. The loss of a pet is without a doubt one of the hardest forms it comes in. The unconditional, unwavering love a pet expresses takes up more space in your heart then you are even aware. It is as if they exist simultaneously as diminutive souls and as lumbering giants. It's the giant you feel the absence of, it's the giant that leaves its impression on you, it's the giant you will always remember.

Love, in all forms, from all sources, develops us as creatures. You are who you are in part due to the love this giant shared with you. Like a blessing from beyond the vale of the real, you have been touched and forever changed. Carry it with you, and you will always have them at your side.

I'm so happy for the life you shared together, know that it was beautiful.

I'm so sorry. He was a lovely cat, always enjoyed your pictures of him and I know he knew you loved him. That's our blessing and curse as cat guardians: we get all the love, but in return we agree to be with them until the end, to help ferry them to their deaths, holding them to their last breaths. I know Mr. Softie appreciated you to the last. Thanks for being there for him.

So sorry for your loss. From your posts about Mr. Softie, it was obvious that you loved him dearly and I know you gave him the best life possible. I'm glad that you shared pictures of him with us, seeing other people's pets here always makes me smile.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so difficult to lose a pet. I still have nightmares about losing my first real pet again.

Been thinking about him on and off throughout the day since I saw your post earlier and I could not think of anything to say until now that could even begin to address it, am so sorry for what you must be going through :(

It obviously brought you so much joy having Wolfie in your life and I know he felt the same about you. We may take care of animals and call them pets, but it just doesn't describe the literally outsized relationships we develop with them. Really, we are mutual life-companions and miss them so, so dearly when they're gone. I didn't know him except for the pictures and the little stories you would share with us but even I'm crying rn, he sounds like such a sweet and silly cat ;w;

I'm glad that when his time was up, he got to leave our world in the company of his best friend ;w;

Hopefully he's with now, I will remember them both ;w;
