From the q2 earnings call mentioned:
Operator
Okay. The next question is from Morgan Stanley. So, you mentioned that in your organizational restructuring, the head of your mobile business group will also lead your commercial PC business group. So, how will this change your mobile business strategy?
S.Y. Hsu
So, in my presentation, I mentioned that the new commercial PC business unit will be headed by the mobile business unit head, but this will be in addition to his portfolio of responsibility. So, he will continue to be in-charge of the mobile unit. So in terms of mobile, we have two major product lines, ROG and Zenfone phone, and we will continue to provide these two product lines. But internally, we will improve the leveraging between these two product lines, so that both lines can be supported with more streamlined R&D resources. So that these resources can also be used to support our commercial PC unit. So, from the end user perspective, there will be no change in our phone lineup. Thank you.
So I guess it was just some restructuring
Glad they're staying on in the small flagship smartphone game. I like to have more options, especially with 3.5mm headphone jack.
They really need to bolster their software support. It's really the main thing keeping me from considering a ZenFone for my next upgrade.
I've had 4 system updates so far. Let's see how long before it slows down.
Also been invited to the Android 14 preview.
Great news, I really like the recent Zenfones so it'd feel bad if it goes away. Not many great near-stock options at that combination of size/price/features.
Doesn't really mention if there'll be a Zenphone 11, just that the Zenphone product line will continue to be provided (which can be fulfilled by selling the Zenphone 10 till EoL). Be wary of business doublespeak.
