This game will apparently also release on Steam in a few hours. There is already a demo available.

But my friends have said this is the worst year of gaming since like ever? What am i supposed to do with all these incredible games that keep ruining their narrative?

Find friends with better taste?

In what way? I feel like I have way too many games on my list, but not enough time... Zelda, Diablo 4, BG3, Bomb Rush Cyberpunk, Starfield, Street Fighter 6, the list goes on

Playing Armored Core 6 right now. First AC game. pewpewpewpewpewpewpewpewBOOM. It's a lot of fun. :)

I've never been able to get too far into FromSoft games because of the difficulty. Is AC6 as bad as their others?

It's pretty different from the soulsborne games. Fast paced mech action with a focus on tinkering with builds. I'd watch some videos from vaatividya or iron pineapple to get an idea of how it plays.

Holy shit what kind of blinders do they have on

Not sure why you're downvoted; I agree, still pretty good games this year. I like GP because this way I can try these indie games I would probably haven't bought otherwise.

Only question is: when the hell am I supposed to play this, this year's absolutely packed with great games.

Good problem to have, right there with you. Bangers left and right!

Care to name some? I’m so out of the loop but I love a good game… I usually only dust off my gaming rig for a new FarCry instalment 😬

For me it would be: Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, Remnant 2, Return to Moria, Starfield, this game, Pseudoregalia(10/10), Crab Champions.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Thanks! Not gonna lie, “Crab Champions” jumped out the most in that list but I’ll check out the trailers for all 😜 🦀 💪

Well all the other roguelikes I play aren't from the past year so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Baldur's Gate III just came out and it's an absolutely phenomenal RPG

Octopath Traveler II is also a really great RPG

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom came out earlier this year, which was also amazing, though obviously that's (officially) only on Switch

Final Fantasy XVI was super fun, but that one is a PlayStation 5 exclusive

Then there is Starfield, the big new Bethesda game is space

A new Yakuza (though the series is being renamed to "like a dragon" now) game is coming out later this year as well (it's a very storied game series though, if you're not familiar with it, I'd suggest starting with either Yakuza 0 or Judgment)

Early this year there was actually another Like a Dragon game, Like a Dragon: Ishin, which is also great

A new Assassin's Creed comes out soon as well, which is going back to a more traditional gameplay loop (recent entries were RPG-like, and this is going to be more stealth focused again like AC1-Unity)

Armored Core 6 is supposedly also a really good game where you build your mech to fight big enemies (though I personally don't know much about that game)

Hi-Fi Rush was a really really good game, it's a sort of rhythm adventure game where you have to fight in the beat of the music.

Ubisoft is also releasing their Avatar (blue Aliens, not the air bender) game late this year (December if I'm not mistaken), which should scratch your FarCry itch, I'd say.

I'm sure there are more that I either forgot or aren't necessarily my wheelhouse, but those are the big ones

Awesome rundown — thank you 🙏 I enjoyed the only Assassin’s Creed I played (Egypt one) so a new one coming out is exciting! The Bulder’s Gate game definitely sounds like a hit though I’ve not played many RPGs in the past. Might also check out that rhythm game — sounds like a novel idea for a game, which is always refreshing.

Thanks again!

I Kickstarted this way back in 2020! So excited to play it!

Just got my steam code by email and my physical copy for the switch is on the way. Can't wait to play this!

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Thanks for the share! I haven't heard anything about this yet and it sounds like I should check it out!

Just finished my Hollow Knight replay last night, ready to get stuck into this one this evening. It looks gorgeous.
