My phone is not that good for running games, if I'm at full ultra graphics or the bare minimum it's always at the same frame rate, but when I receive notifications every game I'm playing gets 60+fps it doesn't matter the graphics or the game

Similar thing happened to me idk if it's android or the games problem but when I put my max frame rate to 60hz or 90hz in settings, brawlstars gets stuck at like 30hz or less.

When I pull the notification shade down, things get faster because the system refresh rate overrides the game. For some reason the game thinks 60hz is not available and falls to 30hz.

Now when I set max rate to 120hz everything is fine, but I can't save battery at 60hz/90hz anymore. Some games work fine regardless of settings.

So I guess I can't do anything because my max frame rate is 90 so I can't put it on 120, but I'll try putting it at 60 and see if it gets better

The OS is increasing resources for processing notifications it seems.

Probably lowering max frame rate, so game feels faster.

Maybe the FPS being shown is for the UI of the notification being drawn and not for the fame you're playing
