I've already cast down my bucket where I am. I have no realistic prospects of leaving the country. It's quite possible that the humble but still prospering niche I've carved for myself in the last year is in imminent danger, maybe even at a personal level.

I'll say it. I'm afraid. I knew nothing good could come of this election, but having one particular brand of fascism without even performative opposition to slow down whatever acts of revenge or just outright looting and mayhem it wants to do while the climate crisis accelerates... well, I'll say it again. I'm afraid.

I knew this would be the result since 2020, I knew Biden wining would send libs to lunch, I knew they'd blow it and fuck up campaigning the next time, I new trump would win, but it's still scary to be here and now it's today, not 4 years from now but NOW
