I was excited to see a Barred Owl in this pose. This is the classic Short Eared photo I come across so much. I'm guessing most owls are hard to photograph in flight, the Shortie just makes it easier hunting in the open compared to most others.

I tried to look up if anyone had videos of a 3d print owl inspired fan design, but couldn't find anything but 1 vaporware product. Maybe I just don't know the proper terminology. There was one inspired by a humpback whale's fins with bumps that sound like they do something similar as far as breaking down turbulence.
