Despite status pages not showing any issues, I'm seeing serious lag in federation I think. Checked both on mobile (Voyager for iOS and web) and when compared to viewing via web on other instances (namely Lemmy.world), posts and comments for the last day seem to be missing?

It was the result of a DoS attack yesterday, should be mitigated & recovering now.

Thanks for the update! Was the DoS attack targeting just lemm.ee or were other instances hit as well?

Yeah, something's funky, though weirdly nothing seems amiss on the status pages I know of. Neither the official status page (https://status.lemm.ee/) nor this instance neutral page (https://phiresky.github.io/lemmy-federation-state/site?domain=lemm.ee) show anything noteworthy that I can see. Hopefully sunaurus can figure it out!

I just started to see some new posts in the last hour but not yet seeing some of the posts/comments that I know have been made in the last day. I suspect it's getting fixed but having to juggle between pulling in new stuff and syncing on older stuff

I was thinking it was a really quiet weekend but had been out and about and looked again and realized all the posts I was seeing were at least a day or two old. Looked at other instances via the web at communities I know are active and they all had stuff, but I couldn't see them when logged into lemm.ee.
