I doubt a fourth round pick is important enough for them to actually care compared to wins and losses. Way too many people's jobs are affected by wins and losses to care about a fourth round pick.
Wilson was supposed to be the starter going into the season. They're 4-2 now and Fields has played like a competent backup. He kept the turnovers to a minimum, so they had a chance to win every game, but he was only okay. It's time to give the guy who was supposed to be the starter a shot. And you can always go back to Fields. If they end up benching Wilson you know that's the end of his career.
Even if he doesn't see the field again this year, Fields has played his way to being a backup in the NFL for many years to come.
