Dude killed it for years on the show. He deserves to move on. Hopefully he gets a lot of good roles moving forward.
He was also in The Big Short if you want to see him in a really good movie.

I recall reading that the final scene they shot was the "King for a Day" scene where Kendall's siblings have him drink a milkshake full of hot sauce and other gross things. It's a great scene full of sibling love and is essentially the shows "good ending". After they wrapped Strong's on-screen siblings shaved his head bringing an end to his character.
Given that Kendall Roy goes on to have a "bad ending", and that Strong is known for his method acting, I have to expect it helped him be less fucked up than if they had shot in order.
