One of my mom's go-to statements is "It's just like living in a communist country!" any time something bad happens anywhere. Even when it's capitalism or straight-up feudalism. "No, mom. They aren't communist. They actually fought communists during such and such war," is usually how the rest of the conversation goes.

Depending on how familiar this dumbass is with Aurora, it might actually be even worse. Aurora has a large African immigrant community, many of whom are Muslim. It could be a 7 layer dip of racism, xenophobia, religious hatred, political misinformation, lack of geographical knowledge, and general stupidity.
