I'm about to finish the new main quest. Just got smacked by someone "cold". I love these quests, the island, the colours. I was already loving perilous moons as well. I hadn't played in a while, and these were perfect additions to help jump back in. I'm also super excited about regen potions. I don't have my cheese cape, so hopefully, the regen will help with switches at the end!

How are you guys enjoying the new content?

I was a bit disappointed in the hueycoatl. But I might have overhyped it in my head. I thought you would do several round trips around the mountain, getting to the top, doing all sort of cool and fun mini challenges.... But it's just attack the body 5 different parts and run up and smack it in the head. So that might be on me, for overhyping it for myself.

But the moon bosses was very nice, also my GIM is 454 kc dry for bandos armor. And it's really boring killing General Graador for 20 seconds and stadig around for a minute waiting for him to respawn. So the blood moon armor was super nice grind. And now the bandos armor grind has been postponed for a loooong time haha

I still haven't done much of Varlamore Part 1(just some thieving of rich citizens and hunter rumours). With Part 2, I did do the Colossol Wyrm agility course and got the graceful recolor. I have yet to do Moons or the new prayer training.

That said, I did try out Hueycotl with some friends and... it was kinda lacking. The fight is long and the drops are not good. I know they recently buffed the drop table a bit, but I'm not in a rush to go back... Which is fine, I still have lots of things to do (ie. I just finished Sins of the Father and am now working on the Elite Varrock diary).

Completely fair. I have 0 kc on most bosses and mostly skilled. I'm just excited for the mid level content and getting my first kc's. It's helping me get ticks down, realizing where my character really is, multi-tasking, etc... This is coming from someone close to 30 without a firecape.

I would highly recommend doing some scurrius, very forgiving and great at teaching how to react to prayers and move away from bad stuff falling on you.

I'm honestly really jealous that he wasn't in the game when I was in your position a couple years ago lol.

also is "close to 30" referring to your irl age?

That's a good suggestion. I'm almost 30 (ROUGHLY) irl and used to be an old head in RS3, but it was a different game. Also my account got wiped :/ I was 1831942. I didn't have any records, but I had a lot of holiday items, etc...

Havent done any varlamore pt 2. Need to get quest cape again which feels like a chore, but I'm also genuinely looking forward to the quests.

The herb minigame is a grind but the googles and amulet at least were worth it

Not wasting my time on chugging barrel and potion storage
