I'm on the android 15 beta and the performance is super good, even better than android 14 on my pixel 8. All the weird stutter has just disappeared

I'm always curious whether this effect is due to optimizations or getting a fresh start.

Stutter on the pixel 8 was a very widely reported issue so I'd assume it was fixed

I just hope that there will be some good phones without a notch or punchhole in the near future. There are some out there, but they all have pretty major drawbacks (SoC, Updates, Availability outside China...).

I hope to see some mid-range phones that fit in a normal hand. In the 4-5" range.

You know what they say about guys with big hands, right?

They have big gloves.

With the bezels shrinking, I feel like 6" is also ok. The phone itself just shouldn't grow to phablet sizes.

I've found that it's a particular size. I do not like having a phone with case that is more than about 75 centimeters from edge to edge because then it feels somewhat uncomfortable to hold in the hand.

I guess 3/4 of a meter would be unwieldy πŸ˜…

I think Asus Zenfone was an option for that. But for the newer updated model, even they went for a larger screen.

I just got Android 14 the other day through lineage OS 21 and I'm enjoying the fact that when I pull down the notification shade now that it triggers a quick tap of the vibration motor
