ESPN, ABC and other Disney-owned channels have gone dark for DirecTV's 11 million-plus subscribers as the sides fight over a new carriage agreement.

I really don’t know what to make of this.

On one hand I don’t think Disney should be allowed to own so many channels. Monopolizing markets and controlling so many outlets homogenizes viewpoints. It also drives up prices and gives them more leverage over carriers.

On the other hand, how many subscribers does DirectTV have these days? And of those subscribers, how many can’t get these channels elsewhere, such as through cable or 5g internet?

It's what they have in the motel I'm at. Very unfortunate. FXX runs good adult animation most of the time. I guess SmackDown is moving to USA very soon if I'm not mistaken, so that's nice. We left the cats with the TV on, and when I got back it said the contract had ended

Lol. Directv can die. Nothing of value will be lost.

Those fuckers ripped our family off for years.

Both sides suck. You have Disney on one end on the other you have AT&T.
