Though he's probably never heard of this schmuck, the answer is Elon Musk & for money.
He was an influencer. The more clicks he got the more Twitter/ads would give him a cut.

I don't know why, but I'm strangely disappointed that people have stopped writing "X, formerly Twitter" and now trust that people know Twitter as X without the added clarification.
Meanwhile i couldnt care less if it was x, twatter, facefuck or tuktuk. "Social media" for all of them would be just fine.

Don't worry, with the way Elon is driving the company into the ground, XTwitter won't be a company or a service much longer. It may have another year of life left, maybe two.
