My cats catnip toy is also banana shaped. I noticed that’s actually a popular shape for catnip toys. Why is that?

My cat really likes grabbing it and "gutting" it with her back legs, so that might be why the shape is good.

Ah, yes, the “bunny kick”

My cat prefers live targets (such as my forearm) for such brutality. My kitty goes from belly rub to bloodbath in a split second.
