Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

The software is distinct from the opinions of the developer in my opinion... I mean I'm not a communist however I enjoyed playing Tetris...

FediTips itself supports repressions against Muslim minorities in China by that logic, because they most likely use a lot of commodities that were made in PRC

The whole point is that it's federated too. The devs haven't really been ardent about much to do with the software except "we're not getting rid of the hard coded slur filter cause we really don't want to see the open fascists who would care about that using it". I don't fully agree or disagree with that, but they don't really have much else to say about the community at large. Des has repeatedly stated that he wants to have a healthy amount of "mainstream"/"liberal" instances that he has nothing to do with the content of.

I didn't even know there was a hard coded slur filter lol

It's been modifiable by instance admins for a while now, although I doubt most of them have any reason to do so. It mostly is just an n-word filter.

I would take them more seriously if they actually provided information/evidence of their claims.
