Not sure where else to talk about this. I pulled up some torrent sites to see what was available from the olympics. My family has cable, but I never use it. We have spectrum and if you don't watch the events live, you will not see them.

I pulled up the On Demand on the cable box and all you get access to is short highly edited highlight clips. What also pisses me off is that if you do watch the NBC broadcast they are constantly switching between what channel shows what sport. I was watching soccer on NBC and then it got moved to being broadcast on USA Network.

It's bullshit like this that makes piracy much more convenient to me. With piracy I can download entire matches and watch them front to back without any cuts because the networks in other countries are doing a good job of managing their coverage. How hard is it for these networks to just make it so that if I click on a sport I watch it from start to finish without having to search for what fucking channel it's on. I even looked to see if there was going to be any way to watch it live in 4K in the US. NOPE NBC is recording 1080p HDR and doing real time upscaling to 4KHDR. So it's not even real 4K. It's 2024 there is no excuse for not recording and broadcasting in true 4KHDR.

NBC is a fucking joke.
