Let's say we have a streaming service...

And this streaming service uses the widely used HLS streams for their content. (.m3u8)

And let's say you can simply save an index of various content... Movie, TV shows, music content

Now... those index files (segment lists) are usually not available, they're not even being served.

But you can create a .m3u8 local document and stream the content just fine in VLC.

Is it piracy to distribute index to content "publicly" on official private servers, accessible without any proper access restriction?

Probably stupid to start releasing it publicly since it would be shut down asap when they find out
