I don’t get their motivation behind this change. I mean I read the write-up they posted, but I don’t get how they could seriously think this is a better experience for users.

Can't you just add the numbers back yourself and set a displayname without it?

They recently added display names while keeping the tags as a direct 'fuck you' to discord lol
Even though I got "pussyslayer69", I still miss the "#6969" :'(
I still don't understand why people are so mad at this.
Before you were forced to have numbers in your name and now you get a choice, the numbers aren't forced on you.
Isn't more choice better?
