I don't know if there are other ways to use Reddit without using its own client, but I wanted to inform you.

I haven't experienced that personally but Reddit's Imgur has also cracked down on VPNs and many hosted pics and gifs will not load, depending on your selected server.

I heard of some web frontends that had this feature. Idk how they're called but I think there were at least 2.

Geddit also works well as an open source, no-account needed, Reddit browser - https://f-droid.org/packages/geddit.buzl.uk/
