Last week I was checking on one of my compost bins and noticed that there was a group of these mushrooms growing on a clump of composting leaves. Given the heat, I'm surprised to see them growing in the bin. Any help identifying them is most appreciated.

I'm between Coprinellus disseminatus and Parasola plicatilis. It seems like Parasola is more common this time of year and more likely to grow on leaves.

Looks like dried out ink caps maybe.

I could see that. I'm fairly new to Albuquerque, so I'm not entirely sure if they're common here.

What part of the day was it when you took this photo? (Morning)

Do they dry up and disappear in the heat of the day?
