I knew a guy who was a WW2 history buff, but that also seemed to be the only thing he knew about. To the shock of no one, he was a super right wing gun nut and we were all afraid he was going to shoot up the office one day.

For some reason “when their asked” annoys me so much. Is it that hard to get your “theres” straight as most likely a native English speaker?
