Fuck, and I'm getting crushed by my rent in the USA. May our working class comrades in canada find their way to a solution. Us to, thanks.

I had known that housing prices in Canada is having extreme increase, but I had not suspected that there are countries of Western European diaspora that had less severe problems with housing price increase. Is the massive housing price increase from the mass import of immigrants of color to replace the recently depleted supply of Aboriginal first nation child slaves in Indian Residential fake schools that operated in secret after 1997 and stolen inheritance of first nation children who were abducted into slavery in the fake cultural assimilation policy? Does it has relation with the ease of monopoly in the landowning sector of Canada?

In my opinion, the main driver is the financialization of the real estate market. Since Canada is largely deindustrialized, banks and hedge funds started investing into real estate market, and it spread down to the residential housing market.

On top of that, 40% of Canadian MPs are landlords or invested in real estate, and 80% of Canada’s federal party leaders are invested In real estate. So, there's a huge conflict of interest from people driving policy.

A little personal factoid about myself that relates to this topic: sometimes I like to peruse real estate websites, or just sites that have houses for sale, and look for the cheapest ones available and every time, without fail, they’re always over 200 grand and falling apart. The unaffordability crisis is so bad that even disgusting shacks require a 10 grand down payment which is fucking ridiculous considering the amount of repairs you’d need to pay for on top of that.

This reminds me of TikToks of this guy comparing Canadian shack prices to actual European castles. The castles are always WAY cheaper.
