my big takeaway from the video is that going to disney world (land?) looks like a fucking nightmare
i'm even more confused by the existence of disney adults now
Alienation of labor leading to social isolation therefore needing to purchase an identity to fill the void, where Disney offers a complete package of easy to consume and culturally pervasive icons that is readily available to buy. Not to mention the communal aspect of their products: all Disney adults consume Disney commodities in a group, because it is structured to make it cheaper to do so. By making it a communal action, it is then a reinforced behavior.
