I just want to warn everybody in germany that are using open trackers. There is a lawyer "Nimrod Rechtsanwälte" that is writing "Abmahn" - cease-and-desist letters, to everybody. They are either in the seed looking for german ip's or scanning the site for german ip's (somehow).
I got a letter too. For a game what i didnt download, Dungeons 4. And they only get you for games from . It doesnt matter if you downloaded a game from a tracker that comes from Kalypso or not, they will try and send you a letter.
They will send you a "Unterlassungsvertrag" and say you have to pay 850€ (Vergleichsangebot - a "settlement offer"). Do not sign it! When you do, then you just said that you did it! And you have to pay. Take the letter and go to a lawyer. They will write a letter to Nimrod that its not true and blabla etc. And just stay still. It can take some time. Just dont pay and let the lawyer do the job.
Fellow pirates in germany, when you use a open tracker. Get yourself a VPN! And not a free one, pay the 5€-10€ a month or get a abo. If you dont know how it works, google, youtube and othe forums will help you. And then you can set sail again.
