Dan Stevens (Downton Abbey, Legion, Gaslit) has been tapped to take over the lead role in the animated series that was originally created by Mike McMahan (Star Trek: Lower Decks) and Dustin Roiland, who was ousted in January amid domestic violence charges.

How about Rick and Morty? He’s going to be harder to replace there.

True, but the writer's room is the real star of R&M and it's been reported that Roiland stopped collaborating there years ago. Hopefully it'll only be disconcerting for a minute or two, but Solar Opposites being first to have a clip out could make it harder for R&M to pull off "<Belch.> I just sound different now! Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!" without looking like a copycat.

which explains why the last two seasons of rick and morty have been dogshit, and bear no relation in quality to the seasons before them, there was a steep dropoff that I couldn't figure out what happened, then the story broke and it all made sens
