I bet all those people that got tattoos of "There's no place like 127.0.0.1" are so embarrassed now that IPv6 has been adopted globally.

It's 2024 and no isp's in my country still provide ipv6 from what I have seen.

So 37% of the world...

Ipv4 is till the vast majority

Well, still less than half of the internet

Yes, but globally means around the globe :)

Glad to learn that HTTP/0.9 is still "in use globally" then. A bit surprising, but since it's all about stretching definitions past what is reasonable, for the sole purpose of having the last word, let's shoehorn anything into anything to the infinity and beyond!!! 🤡🚀

I cannot use mobile data with ipv6, as no carrier in my country gives them out.

No place like $HOME

Those are probably the same people running my ISP, because there are no expectations of them ever implementing ipv6...

adopted globally

Lol yeah, okay. Talk to me when you can actually get to most sites with IPv6.

Feeling personally attacked here.. I'm coincidentally trying to get ipv6 remote to my machine working right but I don't know what I'm doing so while everything is working by itself anything I try fails.. 💀

(I don't need help, it's better if I learn it the hard way)

There is nothing wrong in asking for help if you hit a wall mate.

My home provider had IPv6 for like two years, after I specifically opened a support ticket for it. Now it's broken and they won't bother to fix it, because no one else asks them.

There's no place like localhost

Indeed. Has "home" ever been an alias for 127.0.0.1?.
