Does the matrix.org server have issues? I've heard a few people complain about it lately (reddthat.com)

Yes, for whatever reason it has some trouble federating with other instances properly.

@shortwavesurfer @Blaze Were you on monero.social? I'm aware that matrix.org's Cloudflare firewall may be blocking random homeservers from directly federating with it.

Yes. I'm not sure if it's an issue with the client or the back-end, but I keep getting added to some random room, which is really freaky.

@Blaze matrix.org indeed is slow at times. You should consider moving to other homeservers: https://servers.joinmatrix.org
