Posts are visible only when logged in. Am I shadow banned? (sopuli.xyz)

I’ve posted twice to [email protected]. The first post was 6 months ago and the other today. There is no interaction. I just thought it was a dead community, but when I directly visit this page:

neither of my posts appear. This behavior is like being shadow banned. Does Lemmy support that? I thought not. But also I did’t post anything really controversial.. nothing that I would imagine warranting a shadow ban.

Can other people see the sopuli copy of my posts? They are:

(edit) If I visit the sopuli version of the timeline:

from a logged out browser, the posts are there. So indeed they must be visible to everyone but only those who visit sopuli’s version of the timeline. Not sure what’s going on here because it’s not a ghost node (links.esq.social is still online).

Sounds like a federation issue between links.esq.social and sopuli.xyz

You can see posts on your side, but they aren't visible on the links.esq.social side sounds like behavior of your server being federated with them, but theirs not being federated with yours.

Edit: I just went to links.esq.social's "all" page and sorted by "new". All I see are posts from inside that instance. Looks like they aren't federated with anyone else.

https://links.esq.social/instances shows that they're only federated with a couple of Mastodon instances, one of which is on esq.social

So they probably were federated with sopuli at some point, which is how communities from there show up on sopuli
