Personally I’ve been trying out a bunch of iOS apps, but have been spending the most time on Memmy.

Same here--wefwef is amazingly solid for such an early product.

If Sync for Lemmy gets off the ground and is anywhere near as good as the Reddit version, I'll probably switch to that since it was easily my most used Android app before Reddit lost its mind.

Does the PWA shortcut auto-updates or to use a new version I have to delete the shortcut and create it again?

There’s a settings tab with a β€œCheck for updates” section that will automatically notify you of new versions, and then you can update without recreating the widget.

Got it. Thanks! :)

Wefwef has been easing my Apollo withdrawals.

Saaaaaame. It feels so familiar

Boost for Lemmy is coming - You can register your interest on the Play Store.

Coming from RIF this is my personal ranking:

  1. wefweb.app. Very clean design, works well and smooth experience. Overall the best implementation so far.

  2. Connect/Lift (tied). Both are solid, I prefer connect sidebar and options but I prefer the design of the posts and comments on Lift. When the comments stack in Connect it looks awful IMO.

  3. Jerboa. As a first option it was good but after so many timeouts, other design issues and multiple errors I kinda gave up on the app. After its polished I'll give it another try.

This would be my ranking and assessment as well. The only thing hampering Wefwef, for me right now at least, is that all saving/bookmarking is broken at the moment. I'm sure it'll get fixed, but that's kinda a big deal. Other than that, it's great!

Currently Jerboa, but once Boost for Lemmy launches I'll switch to that

I use connect for lemmy currently but i got jeobra downloaded as well , depending on how performance/feature goes in the next months i will decide what i like more

Liftoff on Android is my current go-to, but I'm eagerly awaiting the first build of Sync for Lemmy. Sync was always my favorite app for the site that shall not be named.

I'm on wefwef.app now. I tried Jerboa first and then Connect for Lemmy. I liked Connect more than Jerboa but wefwef was most like my Infinity setup.

I tried mlem, memmy, and wefwef.

Mlem is missing quite some features at this point. Wefwef is browser only.

So I've been using memmy for the most part. It's good.

I'm on Android and I'm currently using Connect for Lemmy. Seems good for now. Previously used Jerboa but for some reason I had issues with scrolling and connecting.

Connect for Lemmy on Android. Reminds me pretty much of RIF.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I'm using connect. Only gripe so far is there's no apparent "hide post" button

Also I'm not sure if "block user" is the same as Sync's "filter user" or something else

Started with wefwef, but it often lags when I try to type a comment or navigate back, so I installed multiple apps for Lemmy until I settled in with Connect, since it felt neat and optimised.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I trade off between memmy and wefwef

Liftoff on Android. Web browser on iOS.

Liftoff let's you search for keywords by Community, Comments, or Posts. That feature alone is golden and no other app does this.

The Wefwef app on Android has all these options in it's search feature: by Post, comment, community, or user.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I read somewhere that wefwef was web only. Trying it out now.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Its a PWA. Works brilliantly

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Memmy has search filters as well

I had issues logging into wefwef so can't speak to that but Memmy works amazing and has a really clean UI

Coming from Apollo, I have personally been enjoying wefwef.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Same. The transition has been seamless with the UI. Very familiar. Although I find myself swapped to Lemmy to check it out. They have been Lightning fast with the updates

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 year ago

I suggest giving Memmy and Thunder a try, they both have great potential.

Is there anything that gets you multiple columns on tablets?
